Anna Ressa is a co-founder of Pepscope. She has worked for the company since 2018 in repurposing the product offering by developing the QuantaKinomeTM technology platform.

The company was originally founded in 2012 by Jos Joore and Hans Brouwer. The three founders have experience in innovative technology development for proteins analyses.

ACTIVITIES

Pepscope is a biotechnology company that provides a solution to drug developers and doctors for accelerating precision medicine.

The company offers QuantaKinomeTM as clinical and biomarker analysis services to investigate the protein kinases activation status in human samples, to eventually understand the effect of drugs in patients. Pepscope uses mass spectrometry technology to develop customised protein kinase profiling platforms suitable to any stage of the drug discovery and development process.

The market of Pepscope include the following target groups: pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies, clinical research organizations (CROs) and university hospitals. Pepscope customers use the QuantaKinomeTM technology platform to study the mechanism of actions of drugs, identify predictive biomarkers and understand drug resistance in human patients.

RESULTS

Pepscope is setting up collaborations with established pharmaceutical companies as well as relevant university hospitals that are internationally recognised while further developing QuantaKinomeTM. In 2022, a production site facility will become operational in Wageningen, while R&D activities will continue in Utrecht to increase the throughput capabilities of the company.
