The founders of SystematIC, Richard Visee (right) and Gert van der Horn
(left), have a background in designing microelectronics for sensor applications. SystematIC was founded in 2013 and originated from SystematIC Design BV (1998), a company focused on designing high performance analog and mixed signal (combination of analog and digital) electronics.

ACTIVITIES

SystematIC provides magnetic sensors as IC products. The products are fully integrated on chip and are small, reliable, programmable, and can easily be produced in large quantities. SystematIC products are offered on the basis of a modular concept and based on SystematIC’s IP core, supplemented by electronics to meet specific customer requirements.

SystematIC customers use the products to build modules that are used as electronic current sensors in industrial or consumer applications. SystematIC is a Dutch company, but operates in a global setting. 

RESULTS

In 2014, smaller volumes of the products were delivered. With the participation of the ZIF, SystematIC has the resources to set up the mass production of their first products and arrange the associated organisation.

AMBITION

SystematIC aims to become a globally recognized developer and supplier of advanced micro-electronic sensor products.

Gert van der Horn is CTO of SystematIC and is focused on applying the SystematIC IP to customer designs. Richard Visee is CEO. The team also includes employees that design products and direct the product flow. The company also actively collaborates with a select group of suppliers in the product chain.

Why KIKK capital?

Richard: “To fulfill SystematIC’s ambitions, we started looking for adequate funding for our business plan. From the first contact with the fund management, it was clear that the KIKK Capital (fund: ZIF) was the best ‘fit’ for SystematIC. Our conversations created a certain energy. The process towards participation at the end of 2014 was clear from the start and an adequate and orderly structure was set up.”
